Government Media: Gaza Children Suffer from Severe Malnutrition Due to Starvation War

The Government Media Office warned on Monday evening of the spread of severe malnutrition in the Gaza Strip, especially among children and infants, in light of the ongoing Israeli war of extermination, the closure of crossings, and the denial of aid entry.

In a statement, the government media office confirmed that the number of cases arriving at the remaining hospitals and medical centers due to severe malnutrition is 65,000, out of 1.1 million children in the Gaza Strip who suffer from daily hunger.

It pointed out that the Israeli enemy is using starvation and deprivation as a systematic means of war, aiming to destroy life in the Gaza Strip, in flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian laws and norms.

The government media office held the Israeli enemy fully responsible for the worsening humanitarian disaster and for endangering the lives of hundreds of thousands of children, women, and the elderly due to the lack of food, medicine, and water.

It also held the international community and its institutions responsible for remaining silent on these crimes and for not taking deterrent steps to hold accountable the leaders of the “Israeli” enemy, which is committing its brutal and continuous violations.
