Zionist aggression continues on Jenin and its camp for the 99th day

Israeli enemy forces continued their aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp for the 99th consecutive day on Tuesday.

Jenin Mayor Muhammad Jarrar said: “The occupation forces began bulldozing operations in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin since the morning hours, and the operation is still ongoing.”

Jarrar confirmed that the city has suffered significant losses to infrastructure and property since the beginning of the aggression, with the estimated value of losses amounting to $300 million.

It explained that 800 housing units in the city were partially damaged, in addition to 15 buildings that have been demolished in the city since the beginning of the aggression.

The majority of the damage to buildings and residences was concentrated in the eastern neighborhood and Al-Hadaf neighborhood.

It also confirmed that all citizens’ homes and property inside the camp were completely or partially damaged, while the entire infrastructure was destroyed. In this context, enemy forces continue their destruction and bulldozing operations inside the camp, while continuing to prevent entry or access.

Concerns have increased with the installation of iron gates at the camp entrances a few days ago.

Since the beginning of the aggression, these forces have forced 790 families to flee the city according to Jarar.

380 Buildings have been evacuated of their residents in the city alone, while families from the camp continue to flee and are prevented from returning. Estimates indicate that the number of displaced persons from the city and the camp has exceeded 22,000.

Jarar pointed to the economic situation of the city in light of the ongoing aggression, as it is suffering significant economic losses, while some areas are experiencing complete economic paralysis, especially in the western neighborhoods.

It is worth noting that enemy forces arrested five citizens from the city of Jenin this morning, including journalist Ali Samoudi, a correspondent for Al-Quds newspaper, after raiding his home in Al-Zahraa neighborhood of the city.
