Shops close their doors in Aden

Shops closed their doors to customers after receiving threats from gunmen in the city controlled by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) Militias, local sources reported on Saturday.

According to the Residents, several shops in Sheikh Othman closed after their owners received threats from gunmen in the city.

Residents said shopkeepers had been threatened with theft and assault if they did not pay taxes that the gunmen had demanded earlier.

They noted that traders received threats through telephone calls and messages, while some merchants received verbal threats directly from the gunmen.
