Thousands of settlers protest against Netanyahu, demand his resignation
A few thousand “Israeli” settlers gathered in front of the headquarters of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday in West al-Quds (Jerusalem), protesting against his economic policies and his handling of the Corona pandemic.
The protesters demanded Netanyahu’s resignation because he has not been able to save Israel from economic hardship and for the corruption charges against him.
According to media, the occupation police closed all streets and roads leading to the prime minister’s residence, in case of any emergency, and hundreds of members of the “Israeli” security services were deployed throughout the area.
The police called on the demonstrators to maintain public order and the Ministry of Health’s instructions on combating the Corona pandemic.
Popular protests in the occupation entity have been going on for several weeks against Prime Minister Netanyahu, who has been charged with three counts of corruption and bribery.
The Ministry of Health said today that the number of deaths from Covid-19 has risen to 592 after 11 new deaths were recorded, while the total number of infections exceeded 82,000.
