Top commander in Iraqi’s Popular mobilization forces killed in Diyala

A top commander of artillery units in the Diyala axis of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) Amer Ahmed Saleh (Abu Haidar al-Ansari) was killed in an attack launched by Dahesh (ISIS) terrorist  elements  on a security post in Baqubah, the capital of Iraq’s Diyala province, Al-Mayadeen TV reported

On Friday, the Popular Mobilization Forces foiled an attack by ISIS remnants in Khanaqin district of Diyala province.

The Popular Mobilization  forces announced, in a  statement, that its forces “forced ISIS militants to flee and are now being pursued,” adding that “the attack resulted in the death of one of the heroic fighters, and the injury of the artillery officer to the Diyala operations sector “.

The PMF carried out a security operation in the outskirts of Khanaqin district to search villages on the outskirts of the judiciary to pursue the remnants of ISIS, in an operation aimed at “ensuring absolute responsibility for any infiltration of terrorists that may affect citizens who celebrate the holy month of Muharram in the city.”

The statement referred to the efforts of the martyr “in returning the displaced, and his keenness to stabilize the situation in their areas,” adding that he “was a courageous leader and fighter, who participated in most of the liberation operations against the terrorist gangs of Daesh.”
