Al-Hodeidah’s officials check out displaced camps
The governorate undersecretary of Al-Hodiedah, Ghaleb Hamza, along with the director of the branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Jaber Al-Razhi, inspected on Saturday, the conditions of families affected by the torrential rains in the districts of Al-Qanawas and Al-Zahra.
During the visit, Hamzah and Al-Razhi were briefed on the humanitarian situation of the displaced citizens in the two districts and the level of aid and services provided to them, they also listened to their most important needs and requirements. They were also informed of the work being carried out within the project of constructing housing for those affected by the torrents in the Al-Qanawes district, which is implemented by the Generous Hands Foundation, stressing the interest of the local authority and the council to meet the important needs of the victims to alleviating their suffering, coordinating with related bodies and international organizations.
The deputy governor and director of the branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation called on international organizations working in the governorate to work on touching the humanitarian situation of the displaced in the camps and those affected by the floods and to quickly meet their necessary needs, especially with regard to providing adequate housing, food, clean drinking water, and the necessary health care requirements.
