Rouhani: US can’t impose on us neither negotiations nor war
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said it was time for the world to say “no” to Western hegemony, stressing that it could not impose on us neither negotiations nor war, and that Iran is not a bargaining chip in the US elections.
“We will not accept the bargaining of our freedom in the face of the pressures that are being put on us,” Rouhani said in during his speech to the UN General Assembly.
He stressed that the Iranian people have been resisting for decades in defense of their quest for freedom from hegemony and tyranny, adding, we will not accept bargaining for our freedom in the face of the pressures that are being imposed on us.
He noted that the Iranian people had been deprived of international cooperation and imposed a severe ban against the UN resolution.
“We will not accept any compromise on Al-Quds al-Sharif and al-Aqsa,” he said.
“The US is the only one in the world who has used nuclear weapons and the Zionist entity is the only one in the region that possesses this weapon,” Rouhani said. Iran has been calling for sustainable peace for decades.
He said: We stood with the government and the people of Lebanon in the face of the Zionist occupation, we stood by Kuwait when the regime of Saddam Hussein attacked it.
He concluded : We confronted “ISIS” to let the world know what is true Islam and the martyr Qassem Soleimani defended all sects in the region and confronted terrorism.
