Yemen Thabat Foundation organizes collective wedding for 15 grooms in Hodeidah
In Al-Durayhimi district in the Hodeida governorate, a collective wedding was held for 15 grooms.
At the wedding which was organized by Yemen Thabat Development Foundation in partnership with the local authority and the supervisory office in the governorate, in the presence of the deputy governor, Mutahir Al-Hadi, the director of Al-Durayhimi, Muhammad Somal, confirmed that this wedding comes after the approval and signing of a document to facilitate dowries in the directorate to support and encourage young people and families that took the initiative to adhere to it.
Somal praised the initiative of the Yemen Thabit Foundation and its generous support for the youth, especially in light of the current conditions that the country is going through as a result of the imposed siege by the US-Saudi led coalition.
While the deputy director of the branch of Yemen Thabat Foundation in the governorate, Hussein Ali Qatei, indicated that the foundation launched on the 28th of July this year the awareness program to facilitate dowries to support young people and encourage all community initiatives aimed at reducing dowries and facilitating marriage.
He pointed out that the Foundation supports each groom with an amount of 350 thousand riyals, to relieve the hard conditions that Al-Durayhimi is going through due to the suffocating and continuous siege for nearly two years.
While the grooms expressed their happiness by holding a collective wedding, which helps young people completing half of their religion, relieves them of burdens, and make them feel stable.
The wedding was attended by the director of Bait Al-Faqih directorate, Hussein Sahl Zain, the head of Tihama Development Authority, Ali Hazza Qadi, several sheikhs, notables, social figures, and many people from the region in the district.
