According to the sources, these moves are taking place in the context of Emirati efforts to build military bases on the two islands.

In recent days, the UAE military leaders have held intensive meetings with the STC’s leaders in Socotra.

According to the sources, the UAE had tried earlier to seduce citizens to sell their land to them. Local residents were unaware of the great danger surrounding them .

The UAE is acquiring the land through its delegate Abu Mubarak, who managed to own many strategic lands, some by purchase and others by simple to establish colonial projects specific to the UAE and gained large areas in several strategic areas and cities.

Large areas are being held for the use of these strategic lands as military bases for the benefit of the UAE, in addition to the possession of land containing a stockpile of minerals by force of arms.
