Baghdad Renews Stand on Normalization with Israeli Enemy, No Normalization
The Iraqi government renewed its attitude on normalization with the Israeli enemy, calling on all politicians to adhere to patriotism and respect the feelings of the Palestinian people.
A spokesman for the Iraqi Prime Minister, Ahmed Mulla Talal, said that Iraqi law according to the agreed Iraqi constitution stipulates the prevention of normalization with Israeli enemy. “The signing of a peace treaty, between the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan and the entity of the Israeli enemy, is an internal affair for these countries, and they are aware of their political situation and their foreign relations,” he explained.
He added, “Some parties and political groups may have exceptions, stances, steps and undeclared moves at some point but they do not change the general course of the Iraqi people and the government of the country that declares its support for the Palestinian issue and the preservation of its capital, Al-Quds.”
He pointed out that some political parties direct their public towards accepting normalization with the enemy, and these parties belong to major political blocs, and this in itself reflects a disparity between the political forces within the government.
He called on the leaders to “impose strict instructions on party representatives not to pass the government in the normalization issue, as Iraq is in a state of political turmoil, and all politicians must abide by patriotism and respect the feelings of the Palestinian people.”
