Attorney General stresses need to activate Prosecution’s role in civil cases
The Attorney General Judge Nabil Nasser Al-Azzani on Wednesday stressed the need to activate the role of the Public Prosecution in mandatory interference in civil cases.
Judge Al-Azzani pointed to the importance of discussing the Prosecution’s situations and its needs and finding practical mechanisms to deal with cases under investigation and implementation and to follow-up the cases before courts.
At the opening of the second consultative meeting for Heads of Public Prosecutions, Judge Al-Azzani called on the prosecution offices to initiate investigations into the crimes of Saudi-led coalition as soon as they occurred and to complete the investigations into crimes that had not already been investigated.
The Attorney General urged heads, undersecretaries and members of the Public Prosecution Office to assume the legal responsibility in supervising penal facilities and places of pretrial detention, arrest and detention, and implementing decisions and judgments in the criminal case.
