Deputy FM: National Leadership Keen on All Humanitarian Efforts’ Success to Alleviate Yemenis Suffering
Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Al-Ezzi met with WFP Representative and Country Director in Yemen Laurent Bukera.
During the meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister affirmed the interest and determination of the competent authorities represented by the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation and the relevant bodies affiliated with the Council to continue efforts to develop humanitarian cooperation.
Al-Ezzi stressed the national leadership’s keenness to make all efforts for the success of all humanitarian efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people. It is also keen to continue to provide all forms of support to humanitarian actors, in order to provide a real and effective service that those in need of assistance can touch.
For his part, Bukera expressed the WFP’s thanks and gratitude regarding the progress made in the understandings related to the performance and tasks of the WFP office in Yemen, particularly in the issues of biosignatures and cash assistance, which the national authorities have actively contributed to its success and the start of the implementation stages.
