Al-Musheki and Juha listened from the vice president of the national committee for mine action Brig. Gen. Ali Sufra to an explanation of the most prominent achievements of the center’s branch during the current year in light of the implementation of the Sweden agreement.

Sufra touched on the center’s most important needs in terms of equipping three field companies, means of transportation, housing equipment, and various medicines to start work in the province.

He pointed to the training programs implemented by the center, which was inaugurated at the end of November 2019, aiming at spreading awareness of mine risks as well as activating the activities of civil society organizations.

Sufra pointed out the center’s devices, which were seized in Djibouti for more than a year, were subjected to piracy by the aggression countries and transferred to Aden despite the urgent need for them in Hodeida.

On his part, the head of UNMHA stressed the importance of supporting the center and providing it with the necessary needs to continue its role in preserving the lives of people in order to prevent more victims due to the mines.
