Syrian army repels ISIS’s infiltration attempts in Hama
Violent clashes broke out Friday evening between the Syrian army and Daesh/ISIS cell in al-Rahjan area of the eastern countryside of Hama.
A military source in Hama confirmed that Daesh cells tried to infiltrate Syrian army positions on the axis of the town of Al-Rahjan in the northeastern countryside of Salami, east of Hama province.
He explained that Syrian army units monitored the infiltration attempt and dealt with it immediately with shelling .
The shelling coincided with the intensive flight of Russian warplanes over the region, where it carried out a series of raids targeting the terrorist organization’s supplying lines in the depth of Al Badiyah ( the Syrian desert).
