The Lebanese Hezbollah Party strongly condemned on Monday the US designation to describe Ansar Allah movement in Yemen as a terrorist organization.
Hezbollah said in a statement the US designation against Yemen is a criminal step and aimed at undermining the strong morale of the Yemeni people.
“The United States of America was not satisfied with only participation, military support to the unjust aggression coalition led by Saudi Arabia the against Yemeni people, but it also announced to designate the movement as a foreign terrorist organization.
The statement considered that this criminal step aimed to undermine the morale, steadfastness and leadership of the Yemeni people, in order to complement the unjust blockade and the crimes, which the United States will hold full accountability for the humanitarian and health consequences in Yemen.
The statement continued, saying: “These American measures and similar aggressive steps against the resistance movements are failed attempts to punish everyone who rejects the American hegemony and its domination over the region’s capabilities, wealth, and the choices of its free peoples, in addition to refusing the Zionist occupation on Palestinian lands.
