Syrian air defenses confront Israeli aggression on Damascus
Syrian state television reported on Monday that the air defenses had responded to an Israeli aggression in the sky of the capital, Damascus.
A military source announced that the Israeli occupation entity fired missile barrages at areas in the vicinity of Damascus in the early hours of Monday morning.
The source pointed out that Israeli aircraft flew over the Golan Heights and bombed the vicinity of the city of Damascus, while many correspondents in Damascus reported hearing explosions in the vicinity of the capital.
Monday’s Israeli bombardment on Syria is the fifth this year, as areas in the countryside of Damascus were attacked on the third of February this year, and sites in Deir Ezzor Governorate in the east of the country were subjected to Israeli bombardment and in Hamma Governorate in central Syria.
