Palestinian woman injured by Israeli soldiers near Hebron
Israeli occupation forces on Sunday wounded a Palestinian woman for allegedly trying to carry out a stabbing attack at a junction outside the illegal settlement bloc of Gush Etzion, near Hebron in the occupied West Bank.
According to Israeli medical sources, none of the settlers or soldiers present at the scene were injured, while the 60-year-old woman from the town of Husan, who was hit by the lower part of her body, was shot.
The injured woman was subsequently taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center, in al-Quds (Jerusalem) for treatment, although her injuries were described as serious.
Israeli media reported that the Palestinian woman armed with a knife and tried to stab soldiers at a military point at the scene.
For its part, the Israeli army claimed in a statement that a Palestinian woman in possession of a knife was suspected of carrying out a stabbing, and one of the soldiers at the scene opened fire at her
