Salvation Gov’t organizes rhetorical ceremony on 31st anniversary of Yemen Unification
The National Salvation Government organized on Sunday a rhetorical and art ceremony on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Unification of Yemen, May 22, in the presence of the Supreme Political Council members, Sultan Al-Sama’i and Ahmed Al-Rahwi.
At the ceremony, Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor said that the celebration of the unification day today is “an exception and in an exceptional time.”
“In the capital, Sanaa, we celebrate this occasion for the sixth year under aggression, bombing and siege,” he explained.
He continued, “Aden, in which the flag of the Republic of Yemen was raised on the morning of May 22, 1990, today lives in tragic conditions that cause pain in the hearts of all free Yemenis in Sanaa and other provinces and cities of Yemen.”
Dr. bin Habtoor affirmed that what Yemen is subjected to from a fierce attack is because of its ancient historical presence, its unique geographical location, and its rich cultural heritage.
The Prime Minister said that “the few who deny their Yemeni identity and promote an identity made by British colonialism, have been brainwashed with soft and poisonous rhetoric.”
He noted that the Yemeni identity has been fixed throughout history, and the inscriptions and books of history speak about that and confirm it.
The Prime Minister saluted the sacrifices of the army and the popular committees in more than fifty fronts for the sake of the national cause, including the unity.
He congratulated the brothers in the occupied Palestine for the victory of the resistance over the usurping Zionist enemy, while the Yemeni people live in the joy of this victory.
In this regard, Dr. bin Habtoor praised the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the axis of resistance.
