A training course in the field of beekeeping and production for 300 trainees in Sa’ada

A training course has started in Saada Governorate in the field of beekeeping and production, which is organized by the Agriculture and Irrigation Office in Saada governorate in cooperation with the Beekeepers Development Association, the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Over the course of two weeks, 300 trainees of beekeepers in the districts of Suhar, Al Safra, Majz, and Saqeen receive modern technical skills in raising honey bees and supplying the local market with pure raw honey.

At the opening, the Governor of Saada, Mohammed Jaber Awad, pointed to the importance of this course and the need to benefit from it to produce positive results that contribute to the development of bee wealth to reach self-sufficiency.

The governor stressed the need to improve the quality of the product to compete in export and sales in foreign markets, indicating that the quality of food that will be provided to bees will be a basic criterion for the quality of the product.

For his part, the Director of the Agriculture Office, Engineer Zakaria Al-Mutawakel, and Chairman of the Beekeepers Development Association, Engineer Maher Harban, stressed the keenness to find highly qualified beekeepers with extensive knowledge of modern methods and techniques in beekeeping.
