Saudi Arabia restricts 2021 pilgrimage to citizens, residents inside Kingdom
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday that the Hajj for the year 2021 will be restricted to citizens and residents inside the Kingdom, with a total of 60,000 pilgrims.
This is due to the continuing developments of the new Corona virus “Covid-19” pandemic, and the emergence of new mutations in the world, according to a statement published by the official Saudi Press Agency.
In its statement, the Ministry drew attention to the necessity of adhering to the regulatory controls, health standards and security requirements in all stages of performing the Hajj.
