Inauguration of the charitable automated bakery project in the capital, Sana’a
The Bonyan Developmental Foundation inaugurated, on Sunday, the third charitable automated bakery project in the Capital Sana’a.
Mayor of the capital, Hammoud Obbad, stressed the importance of launching this charitable project, which will benefit about 25,000 poor and needy families, noting that this project will enhance societal contributions and social solidarity within Yemeni society.
He pointed out the importance of the project, as 90 percent of the machines and equipment of the automatic oven are locally produced, and this represents a major shift in the strategy of Yemeni economic construction.
For their part, Shura Council member Khaled Al-Madani and coordinator of the Municipality and Sana’a Program at the Bunyan Developmental Foundation, Wael Mahdi, stressed the importance of inaugurating the third charitable automated bakery in Sana’a, which comes within the “Feeding” program for the poor and needy family every day of the year.
It is noteworthy that two bakeries were previously opened in the districts of Shoob and Bani Al-Harith in the Amanat Al-Asimah, in addition to two bakeries in the governorates of Al-Mahwit and Amran, all targeting more than 40,000 poor and needy families.
