Agriculture Ministry destroyed 92 cartons of veterinary medicines
The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation destroyed on Sunday 92 cartons of veterinary medicines that did not conform to specifications and standards in Sanaa.
The Director of Animal Health and Veterinary Quarantine, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qaddari, said the destruction was carried out by a committee consisting of specialists in the General Administration of Animal Health and Veterinary Quarantine, in the presence of representatives of the Public Prosecution and Environmental Health in the Capital Municipality.
He pointed out that the destroyed quantities included four types of veterinary drugs after verifying that it did not conform to the specifications based on the results of the laboratory examination.
Al-Qadari stressed that the destruction of these quantities comes within the tasks of the Animal Health Department, which is keen on ensuring that medicines and veterinary treatments in the Yemeni markets are safe and conform to specifications.
He called on importers and traders of veterinary inputs to adhere to import controls, transport and store medicines and treatments, to avoid losses
