Drone attack targets International Coalition’s site in Iraqi Kurdistan
A drone targeted a site belonging to the International Coalition in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, the spokesman for the coalition, Wayne Maroto, announced on Saturday.
Maroto said, in a press statement, “A drone targeted a site of the international coalition in the Kurdistan region, at 1:30 a.m. on Friday.”
“The attack did not cause any human or material damage,” he added.
Maroto indicated that “the United States and its allied forces are vigilant and defend themselves within the framework of their natural rights.”
Iraqi military headquarters and bases where US forces and forces affiliated with the international coalition are constantly targeted, especially in western Iraq.
This bombing coincided with the fourth round of the strategic dialogue between the Iraqi government and the administration of US President Joe Biden, which focuses on the issue of the US military withdrawal from Iraq.
