Ministerial meeting discusses establishing oil port in Ras Issa

A ministerial meeting held in Sana’a discussed the establishment of an oil port in Ras Issa area in Hodeida province.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs Dr. Hussein Maqboli, who affirmed that the project comes in implementation of the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council and based on the decision of the Council of Ministers.

Dr. Maqboli stressed the importance of establishing the Ras Issa oil port to achieve sufficiency in storing oil derivatives, indicating that the storage capacity of the new project is four million tons of oil derivatives, which will contribute to providing a strategic stockpile to cover the needs in the different provinces.

The meeting approved a number of executive procedures and the tasks of the concerned bodies for the success of the project implementation.
