Ambassador Sabri meets president, members of the Damascus Chamber of Industry

Yemen’s Ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic, Abdullah Ali Sabri, discussed with the President of the Damascus and Rural Chamber of Industry, Dr. Samer Al-Dibs, the economic cooperation relations between the two countries.

The meeting touched on investment opportunities and facilitating trade exchange with the application of customs concessions in coordination between the Chambers of Industry and Commerce in the two countries, and work to resume relevant understandings and protocols, taking into account changes and developments.

Ambassador Sabri stressed that the siege, sanctions and economic war constitute a common pain between Yemen and Syria. In return, the two countries wrote an epic of popular steadfastness in the face of the American aggression, siege and conspiracies.

He pointed to the strict measures taken by the Sana’a government, which succeeded in limiting the deterioration of the national currency and providing local alternatives for agricultural and food products and commodities.

The Yemeni ambassador in Damascus said: “We look forward to benefiting from the Syrian experience in the industrial sector, and the self-sufficiency that helped Syria to stand firm and make the Syrian government independent by its political decision.”

For his part, Dr. Al-Dibs praised the steadfastness and victories of the Yemeni people in the face of aggression, stressing the ties and common denominators that unite the Syrian and Yemeni peoples.
