The Minister of Foreign Affairs Reviews the Repercussions of the aggression ,Siege with the Representative of the World Health Organization
Today, Monday, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hisham Sharaf Abdullah, discussed with the resident representative of the World Health Organization in Sana’a, Adham Abdel Moneim, the organization’s activities in Yemen in light of the deteriorating health sector situation as a result of the aggression and siege.
In the meeting, Minister Sharaf indicated that the continued obstruction of the entry of ships loaded with oil derivatives caused a near complete halt to a number of medical and health facilities.
He explained that the continued closure of Sanaa International Airport to commercial and civil aviation has caused the death of many patients who need to receive treatment abroad, in addition to the disruption of the business and activities of the private sector and the failure of many of those who wish to study abroad to travel as a result of the deteriorating security situation on the roads leading to the occuoirf regions’ airports that under the control of armed groups loyal to the forces of aggression.
The resident representative of the World Health Organization stressed the organization’s constant endeavor to strengthen the relationship with the Ministry of Public Health and Population and various local health centers and institutions to provide health services to the Yemeni people in light of the current conditions they are going through.
