3200 Square Kilometers Liberated,1840 Mercenaries Killed,Wounded,Seized, and 160 Vehicles Destroyed in the Spring Victory Operation

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the official spokesman for the armed forces, revealed in his press conference, today, Sunday, the results of the “Spring of Victory” operation in the governorates of Shabwa and Marib.

With regard to the geography level, Brigadier General Saree explained that our forces succeeded, with the help of God Almighty, in liberating the districts of Usaylan, Bayhan and Ain from Shabwa governorate and liberating the districts of Harib and Al-Abdiyya and parts of the districts of Murad Mount and Juba in Marib governorat.Bringing the total that was liberated during operation to 3200 square kilometers.

Brigadier-General Sare’e said, “Some areas in Marib governorate, which were recently liberated, remained a den from the dens of the infidel gangs in which they operate, in full view and hearing of the aggression coalition that was providing support to them. He added that, in implementation of the directives, the armed forces immediately began to re-establish those areas after the liberation of those areas. The Ministry of Interior, through its security services, as well as the concerned authorities, including the local authority, assumed their responsibilities.

As for the enemy’s losses, Brigadier General Saree confirmed that the operation resulted in the killing, wounding and capturing of 1,840, including 550 dead, 1,200 wounded, and 90 captives. Mercenaries in Marib Governorate.

Brigadier General Saree added that the operation led to damage, burning and destruction of approximately 160 vehicles, armored vehicles, tanks and troop carriers, in addition to the destruction of 180 weapons. Furthermore our forces succeeded in destroying 5 weapons depots and downing four reconnaissance planes, including CH4, in addition to seizing dozens of armored vehicles and vehicles.
