Military Media Releases Scenes Of Downing The Emirati “Wing Loong 2” Plane in Shabwa
Quting from almasirah, Yemeni military media released Thursday scenes of the downing of a “Wing Loong 2” spy drone belonging to the UAE in the sky of Shabwa Governorate.
The scenes included a thermal imaging of the drone before it was targeted, after which a surface-to-air missile was launched, which led to its direct hit and its fall in Ain District, Shabwa Governorate.
The scenes showed the wreckage of the drone scattered where it fell after it was almost completely burned.
On Tuesday, The Yemeni Air Defenses of the Army and Popular Committees have shot down a Chinese-made combat drone run by the Emirati Forces over Shabwa Governorate.
“Our Air Defenses shot down an armed Chinese-made spy drone, Wing Loong-2, operated by the UAE Air Force, while it was carrying out hostile actions over Ain District in Shabwa Governorate,” Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e said in a brief statement.
Sare’e explained that the downing of the Emirati drone was with a domestically-designed surface-to-air missile.
Last Wednesday, the Air Defenses shot down a Chinese-made Wing Long-2 spy drone run by the UAE forces while it was carrying out hostile actions over Asilan District, Shabwa Governorate.
