On Thursday, the US State Department urged Americans to avoid travel to the United Arab Emirates due to concerns about the Corona virus, as well as threats of further attacks.

“The Department continues to advise travelers not to travel to the UAE due to COVID-19, and to reconsider travel due to the risk of missile or drone attacks,” the State Department said in the travel advisory.

It stressed that the possibility of attacks affecting American citizens and interests in the Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula remains a source of constant concern and danger.
