A protest rally, in Sana’a, warns of a humanitarian catastrophe of the continued piracy on fuel ships
The Industry and Trade Office in the Capital and the Bakeries and Ovens Syndicate have warned of a humanitarian catastrophe that threatens the lives of millions of Yemenis as a result of the continued detention of oil derivatives ships.
A statement issued during the vigil organized by the office in cooperation with the Syndicate of Bakeries and Ovens and employees of the Yemeni Oil Company, on Tuesday, in front of the United Nations office in Sana’a, called for the United Nations to play its primary role in lifting the siege on oil derivatives and basic and consumer goods, and pressure to allow their entry to markets to ease the suffering of citizens.
The statement condemned the arbitrary practices of the countries of the coalition of aggression in the continued detention of fuel ships, which amount to war crimes against humanity.
The statement considered the detention of ships a clear violation of all international laws, and its effects were reflected on the lives of citizens, the economic, social and living conditions, food and living security in the country, which led to an increase in the rate of poverty and unemployment, high prices and difficulty in accessing basic services.
The statement held the United Nations, the international community, and all human rights and human rights organizations fully responsible for the consequences of her detention and denial of entry, which will result in complete paralysis in all different aspects of life in the industrial sector, bakeries, mills, poultry and all other sectors.
