Saudi Arabia buys “THAAD” system with big sums in anticipation of Sana’a attacks
The “former security officer” account on Twitter revealed on Thursday that Saudi Arabia had recently purchased the famous “THAAD” air defense system with astronomical sums.
The account pointed out that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, ordered increasing the kingdom’s stockpile of the defense system sufficiently.
Meanwhile, Saudi security sources revealed to “Khaleej 24” that the security services in the Kingdom expect a sharp resurgence of “Houthis” attacks on its major facilities.
The sources said, “Our security and intelligence reports indicate the intention of Houthis to target heavy centers in Saudi Arabia and the UAE against the background of the recent bombing in Yemen.”
They stated that Saudi Arabia has strengthened its air defenses in order to counter these attacks, revealing a request for the assistance of US forces stationed in Riyadh.
