Minister of Industry urges holding consumer exhibitions in the governorates
The Minister of Industry and Trade, Abdul-Wahhab Yahya Al-Durra, encouraged the ministry to hold consumer exhibitions and present offers of discounts to citizens.
Minister Al-Durra directed, during his visit to the Consumer Fair Festival and a number of markets, to expand the establishment of consumer exhibitions in the governorates of Hodeidah, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah and various governorates, in a way that contributes to presenting offers and many options to citizens in purchasing goods.
He praised the offers and discounts he touched on food commodities and called on all food companies to present the appropriate offers with the advent of the month of Ramadan.
He touched on the field campaigns carried out by the ministry and its offices in the Capital Secretariat and the governorates to control prices, reduce greed and monopoly operations, and prevent any excesses or unjustified rise in food prices.
He pointed out that the ministry will present certificates of thanks and appreciation to a number of companies that are committed to prices and not raise them.
He pointed out that the ministry has monitored price manipulation by some corporate agents and wholesalers, and legal action will be taken to deter these violations and protect the citizens’ livelihood from some weak-minded people.
