Sayyed al-Khamenei: Saudi Arabia’s possible victory in Yemen “unthinkable”
The leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Sayyed Ali al-Khamenei, confirmed on Tuesday that the prospect of Saudi Arabia’s victory in Yemen was unthinkable.
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) quoted al-Khamenei as saying: “In the Yemeni case, I have a word of advice for Saudi masters. Why do you continue with a war that you won’t win while you’re sure of that? Is there a possibility that the Saudis will win Yemen’s war? even its probability is not forthcoming “.
He stressed that “with the disregard of the Yemeni people, the courage and practical initiatives of Yemeni leaders in various areas, there is no chance of the other side’s victory”.
He asked Saudis: “Why do you continue with a war in which you will not win and you are sure? Look for a way out of this war. Praising the courage of the oppressed Yemeni people.
Sayyed al-Khamenei described the recent ceasefire in Yemen as very good. He said: “If this agreement is implemented in the true sense of the word, it can continue, undoubtedly the Yemeni people are victorious thanks to their determination, courage and initiative, and God will be in the aid of this oppressed people.”
