His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council – Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, met today with Defense Minister Major General Muhammad Nasser Al-Atifi.

During the meeting, they discussed aspects related to the level of commitment to the humanitarian and military truce declared by the United Nations by the other party, and the efforts made by the relevant authorities in Sana’a in this regard.

President Al-Mashat stressed keenness to make the truce a success, open Sanaa airport and Hodeidah ports, and lift the siege to ease the suffering of the Yemeni people.

President Al-Mashat reiterated the emphasis on cooperation and support for any sincere efforts that seek to achieve honorable peace for the Yemeni people, and preserve the security, stability and unity of Yemen.

The Minister of Defense affirmed the commitment of the army and the popular committees to the truce despite the violations committed by the forces of aggression and their repeated targeting of some sites.
