Shura Council Condemns US-Saudi Aggression’s Lack of Commitment to Announced Truce
The Shura Council strongly condemned the US-Saudi aggression’s lack of commitment to implement the terms of the agreed-upon truce announced by the UN in April.
In a statement, the Council denounced the US-Saudi aggression’s insistence on closure of Sana’a International Airport, preventing the arrival of the first announced flights, and continuation of maritime piracy on fuel ships.
The statement considered the lack of commitment to announced truce and the siege of the Yemeni people by the US-Saudi aggression a war crime, which is added to all previous crimes committed against the Yemeni people for eight years.
The statement called on the United Nations to react responsibly towards all the unjustified actions of the US-Saudi aggression that put obstacles in the way of the peace process in Yemen. It held the UN and international community responsible for the coalition’s persistence in its crimes and arbitrary and inhumane practices, and the consequent prolongation of the war and increasing the suffering of the Yemeni people.
