Yemen Airlines launches operating by new Airbus A330 aircraft
Yemen Airways launched on Wednesday operating a new Airbus A330 to and from Sana’a International Airport, which was purchased at the end of last year, and is operating at the beginning of this year 2022.
At the inauguration ceremony, Yemen Airways Acting Abdulmalek Mutahar explained that the aircraft would reduce the burden of pressure on civilian flights and expand its operation to a number of international points.
He noted that Airbus A330 entered the service as part of the company’s endeavors to develop and modernize its services. Highlighting the advantages of this plane, where it seats more than 270 passengers and travels longer distances without stopping.
The Undersecretary of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Raied Jabal, considered the inauguration of the new Airbus as a positive step in the areas of air transport and civil aviation in Yemen and the achievement of the national objectives of the national carrier of Yemen Airlines.
He hoped that it would be the first step in lifting the blockade on the Yemeni people in general, and on Sana ‘a airport in particular. Blessed Yemeni Airlines is the new plane that is in the interest of the country and its citizen.
In turn, the Assistant Undersecretary for Security and Safety in the Aviation Authority, Dr. AbdulHamid Abu Talib, said: “Benign return of flights of Yemen Airlines to Sana ‘a International Airport.”
He hoped that commercial and civil flights to and from Sana ‘a International Airport would continue and the blockade would be lifted in order to serve the Yemeni people, the first beneficiary of continuing flights.
The Director of Air Operations of Yemen Airlines, Captain Abdullah Al Shotfa, stressed the importance of the new Airbus aircraft to expand the work of Yemen Airlines in providing the best air transport services locally and internationally.
