Bahrain celebrates the occupation of Palestine
A state of anger and denunciation among thousands of people on social media, following a ceremony made by the Zionist entity’s embassy in Bahrain to mark the so-called “Independence Day” that coincides with the Nakba anniversary in Palestine, amid a Zionist welcome for this step.
On Thursday, the embassy in the Bahraini capital, Manama, held a ceremony on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the so-called “Israeli Independence Day” for the first time, in the presence of more than 300 guests, including officials in the Bahraini government, led by the Bahraini Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, member of the ruling family Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
The ceremony included the Bahrain Orchestra playing the anthem of the Zionist entity in an atmosphere of joy and raising the flags of the occupation, in addition to cutting a large cake on which the Israeli flag was drawn in the presence and participation of the American ambassador in Bahrain.
Tweeters described this event as a betrayal of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people who live in difficult conditions under the apartheid policy practiced by the occupation, specifically with the approaching date of the “Israeli flags” march that will pass through the neighborhoods of occupied Jerusalem, to provoke the Palestinians.

“Celebrating with the thief on the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of his state on usurped land is a participation in the crime of ethnic cleansing and a betrayal of the most basic humanitarian principles,” Bahraini opposition leader Ibrahim Sharif said on Twitter.
Ibrahim pointed out that “when the participant in the celebration is a cousin of the owner of the usurped land, there is no word in the dictionary that expresses the level of decadence that the normalizers have reached.”
The Palestinian writer Lamis Azzam said on her Twitter account: “As the march of the flags approaches and the anniversary of the unification of Jerusalem is near, with a charged atmosphere in Jerusalem, and the Zionist insistence on Judaizing it and curtailing the voice of truth, Bahrain chose to stand by the side of murder, Judaization, counterfeiting and criminality.”
“The Israeli embassy in Manama celebrated today the independence of Israel based on the blood of Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims,” she added.
Moreover, the Qatari activist named Nasser bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi wrote: “The embassy of the apartheid regime in Bahrain celebrates the rape of Palestine and the dispersal of its people.”
Al-Nuaimi stated that “the Bahraini newspaper Al-Ayyam refers to this day as Independence Day!!!! Independence from what colonialism, I wonder? Palestine was under colonialism, and there was no Israel. that’s the truth”.
The Palestinian writer Majed Al-Zabadh also commented, “In Manama, the Bahraini regime shared the Zionists’ joy in the seventy-fourth anniversary of the occupation of Jerusalem and Palestine. What level of shame and disgrace has the Bahraini regime reached? Isn’t there a rational man among the people?”
