The first commercial flight left from Sana’a International Airport to Cairo

The first commercial flight left Sana’a International Airport, bound for the Arab Republic of Egypt, with 78 passengers on board, after a hiatus of more than six years.

This is the seventh out of 16 flights included in the humanitarian truce announced by the United Nations in early April.

It is also the first flight heading to Cairo for the start of the armistice, and is of importance to Yemeni travelers in general and patients, especially those who suffer from chronic diseases and whose treatment in Yemen has failed due to the aggression and siege.

A number of passengers expressed their happiness, pointed out that the handling and procedures for travel at Sana’a International Airport are sophisticated, professional and highly technical, according to international requirements.
