Yemeni Official: The prisoner file witnesses an almost complete stalemate since the beginning of the international armistice

The head of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs, Abdul Qadir Al-Murtada, said on Saturday that the prisoners’ file since the beginning of the UN truce has witnessed an almost complete stalemate at the local and international levels.

He stressed that the aggression and the mercenaries are still stubborn despite the fact that we signed an agreement in March of this year to exchange more than 2,200 prisoners from both sides.

Al-Murtada said :The mercenaries of the aggression, in addition to their failure to implement the UN agreement, also stopped all exchanges that were agreed locally.

He explained that what the forces of aggression are currently seeking is the release of the Saudi prisoners and a number of mercenary leaders and the postponement of the rest, but we rejected this proposal, and we assured the United Nations of readiness to implement the agreement in full and reject any selectivity .
