The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned what was stated in the recent press statement of the Security Council on Yemen, and the attempt to manipulate dealing with the facts of events and adopt double standards and accuse Sanaa of posing a threat to the peace process in Yemen and to maritime security.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) a copy of it, “Although Sanaa has taken official announced steps and measures to clarify its position to the world at an earlier time, and has communicated with all countries, oil companies and oil tanker that it will not allow the wealth of the Yemeni people to be looted within the framework of its internationally recognized borders, thus fulfilling its responsibility guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen and international law in defending the sovereignty of the country and preserving the interests and wealth of the Yemeni people from any looting or transgressions.”

It called on the Security Council to understand the nature of the warning message implemented by the armed forces in its correct context without any interpretation, and that it was not an aggressive or offensive message in the middle of the sea or the international navigation path, but rather a warning message inside Yemeni territorial waters and directed to deter those who wanted themselves to continue in looting and stealing Yemen’s oil and natural resources.
