17 people died, injured in traffic accidents in Capital, provinces

17 people were died and injured in traffic accidents in the capital Sana’a and the provinces on Tuesday.

According to statistics issued by the General Directorate of Traffic, two people died and 15 others were injured, including 13 seriously, as a result of 21 traffic accidents, including a collision, run over, and overturning.

The department reported that these accidents caused material losses estimated at 5,500,000 YER.

It attributed the causes of traffic accidents to excessive speed and negligence of drivers and pedestrians, calling for adherence to traffic rules and regulations and legal speed in streets and roads to avoid the risks of accidents.
