Today, Wednesday, Deputy Minister of Transport, Muhammad Al-Hashemi, stated that the imports entering Yemen through Hodeidah were equivalent to two-thirds of the country’s will, and the aggression has worked to transfer them to the port of Aden.
Al-Hashemi confirmed to alMasirah that the containers that enter today through the port of Hodeidah have become very limited, compared to more than 23 thousand containers that enter through the port of Aden.
He indicated that the cost of shipping and transporting goods from Aden costs the citizen 10 times what it costs him to ship them from Hodeidah, and the aggression deliberately increases the cost for the citizen.
He explained that the ministry has become compelled to search for ships equipped with their own cranes because of the damage caused by the aggression to the port of Hodeidah.
