Sana’a receives delegation from Abyan tribes
The capital, Sanaa, received a tribal delegation consists of sheikhs and notables from Abyan province, who came in an effort to release Major General Faisal Rajab, who was omitted from the prisoner exchange agreement between the National Salvation Government and the Saudi-led coalition.
The tribal delegation was received in Al-Sabaeen Square by the Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council – Chairman of the Tribal Cohesion Council, Sheikh Dhaifallah Rassam, along with governors of Shabwa, Aden, Hadramout and Mahra, as well as a number of leaders and sheikhs.
During the reception, Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Rassam welcomed the visiting tribal delegation to the capital Sanaa, stressing that Sanaa is the fortress of Yemen and the capital of Yemeni steadfastness.
He pointed out that the tribes of Yemen support the demands of the visiting delegation, saying: “We are confident that the delegation will not leave the capital Sanaa unless the leader of the revolution issued a decision that meets the aspirations of the tribal delegation, and generously meets the purposes of visitors.”
For his part, Governor of Shabwa, Awad Mohammed bin Farid Al-Awlaki, welcomed the sheikhs and notables of the tribes of Abyan governorate, stressing that all tribes and sheikhs of the province stand by the people of Abyan in their endeavor with the revolutionary leadership to release Major General Faisal Rajab.
He expressed his confidence and hope that the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, would respond to demands of the Abyan tribes after the aggression coalition abandoned the prisoner Rajab in the prisoner exchange agreement.
Al-Awlaki stressed, “Sanaa welcomes all Abyan tribes in their capital and among their brothers from across Yemen.”
