Yemeni Authority for Standardization destroys a shipment of sweets prohibited to import

The Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control destroyed on Saturday a shipment of soft candy with fruit flavor.

The authority stated, in a statement , that the shipment was seized at Dhamar Control Center, and it was destroyed because the product was in the form of worms and one of the products whose import is prohibited.

The statement stressed that the authority will not tolerate any products that violate specifications and standards in order to preserve the safety of the consumer as it is the first line of defense for him, urging all importers to adhere to the requirements and not to import prohibited products.
