Ministry of Electricity announces reduction in tariff price for each unit of electrical energy sold to consumers
The Ministry of Electricity and Energy announced, a reduction in the price of a unit of electrical energy sold to consumers by 234 kilowatt-hours, based on the tariff matrix that was officially announced at the time.
In a press conference held at the Electricity Ministry, the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, confirmed that the reduction in the price of the electric power unit comes from the fact that the tariff moves with the price and cost of fuel, diesel or diesel, up or down.
He pointed out that also comes based on the price of a liter of diesel and fuel oil announced and set by the Yemeni Oil Company.
He stressed that the tariff for the electric power unit sold to consumers by the General Electricity Corporation will be 234 riyals / kilowatt-hour, which is sold to consumers by the owners of private generators 248 riyals / kilowatt-hour, starting on Saturday the 13th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1444 AH, corresponding to the first of July 2023 AD.
The electricity minister called on citizens to cooperate with the Electricity Ministry by reporting violators, and not to pay any amounts other than the announced approved tariff.
The press conference was attended by the Undersecretary of the Electricity Ministry for Technical Affairs, Eng. Abdul-Jabbar Al-Shami, the Financial and Administrative Undersecretary, Taqi Al-Din Al-Mutaa, and the Assistant Undersecretary for the Planning and Projects Sector, Eng. Ahmed Al-Mutawakel.
