Economic Committee: US, Britain, France Insisting on Continued Economic War against Yemen
The Economic Committee in Sana’a reviewed the statement issued by the ambassadors of the United States of America, Britain and France, which revealed the insistence of these countries to continue the economic war against the Yemeni People.
The Economic Committee said in a statement that “the statement of US, Britain and France present fallacies and twisting the facts, to cover up their hostile actions against the Yemeni People.”
The committee confirmed that America, Britain and France were and still are the main and masterminds of the aggression and siege against Yemen, and they use the economy as a weapon is no longer a secret to anyone.
“America, Britain and France were the ones who planned and gave the green light to transfer the central bank’s jobs from Sana’a, and to cut salaries of state employees and they are working today openly to prevent any efforts to disburse salaries, and even described the demand for disbursement as “an extremist” demand,” the committee said.
The committee also confirmed that the decision to prevent the looting of sovereign wealth came to protect the rights of the Yemeni people, and to prevent the use of its revenues in war. Where the decision was met with the satisfaction of all Yemenis knowing how the revenues were supplied to foreign banks and used to enrich mercenaries abroad, and to finance their war against the people.
The Economic committee considered the payment of salaries and pensions to state employees as one of the rights of the Yemeni people that can be covered by part of the oil and gas revenues. There is no complication in that, except that America, Britain and France want to deprive the Yemeni people of those revenues and even use them against them.
