Minister of Industry: decision to boycott Swedish goods came into effect
The Minister of Industry and Trade in the Sanaa government, Muhammad Mutahar, confirmed that the decision to boycott Swedish products and goods entered into force on Saturday in response to the repeated abuses of Islamic sanctities.
Mutahar indicated in a press statement that the Customs Authority and the General Authority for Standards are concerned with following up on the implementation of the decision after banning Swedish products.
“The trademarks and commercial agencies have completed the boycott list of Swedish goods, and the media will be provided with it in full,” he said, noting that the list of agencies exceeds 30 Swedish agencies and 100 trademarks.
The Minister of Industry and Trade also confirmed that the boycott of Swedish goods and products is continuing, and alternatives are available for all goods and products.
This measure comes in implementation of the decisions issued by the Minister of Industry last Tuesday, which stipulated the prohibition of all goods of Swedish origin, whether imported directly from Sweden or imported through other countries to the Republic of Yemen.
