A statement by the Higher Economic Committee holding mercenaries responsible for the deterioration of the economic situation in the occupied territories

The Supreme Economic Committee affirmed that the deterioration of the economic and living situation in the occupied territories is a continuous result of what the countries of aggression have been doing for more than eight years and the corruption of their mercenaries who plundered the people’s capabilities and wealth.

The committee indicated in a statement that the allegations of the aggression countries and their mercenaries caused the deterioration of the economic and living conditions in the occupied areas no longer deceive any of the Yemeni people, north and south.

It pointed out that the deterioration and collapse of the national currency was not a spur of the moment, but rather a result of a deliberate and planned action since the transfer of the functions of the Central Bank nearly seven years ago, cutting the salaries of state employees, supplying the revenues of sovereign wealth to the banks of the countries of aggression and transferring them to the accounts of mercenaries abroad and using them in financing the war against the Yemeni people.

The statement stated that the aggression and its mercenaries are still insisting on plundering the proceeds of sovereign wealth for their personal accounts. They also reject – until now – all solutions that guarantee the use of these revenues to alleviate the suffering of all the Yemeni people, especially the citizens in the occupied areas.
