Minister of Industry hails commitment of private sector to boycott Swedish goods
Minister of Industry and Trade, Muhammad Sharaf Al-Mutahar, praised on Saturday the commitment of the private sector to the decision to boycott Swedish goods.
This came while chairing a meeting discussed areas of cooperation between the Ministry and the private sector regarding the implementation of the decision to boycott Swedish goods in response to insulting the Holy Quran.
In the meeting, Al-Mutahar stressed the importance of searching for alternative markets to import the necessary commodities from friendly countries that respect Islam and Muslims and their sanctities.
He noted the level of partnership between the Ministry and the private sector, praising the efforts of the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Municipality and its positive interaction with the Ministry in a way that contributes to the development of economic activity and achieves price and supply stability.
In turn, the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital’s secretariat, Ali Al-Hadi, expressed his appreciation for the leadership of the Ministry of Industry for its response to the problems and obstacles facing the private sector and working to solve them.
Al-Hadi noted the private sector’s tendency to import through the port of Hodeida, due to the benefits and solutions to problems and dilemmas facing importers.
