Today, Sunday, the head of the National Committee for Prisoners, Abdul Qadir Al-Murtada, denied that any of the prisoners of the aggression coalition had been subjected to any torture, explaining that the allegations of mercenaries about the torture of their prisoners were to cover up their crimes against our prisoners.
Al-Murtada explained in a statement to Al-Murtada that the United Nations was asked to visit all prisons and show its results to the public opinion, stressing that the mercenaries use the prisoners’ file for extortion, and they are not serious about the exchange.
He stressed that the mercenaries are concerned about exposing their dealings with the prisoners in their prisons in the event of mutual visits.
He also confirmed that we have documents confirming that the mercenaries committed crimes against the prisoners as a result of torture and health neglect.
He explained that the position of the United Nations towards uncovering crimes against prisoners is weak, and we have not seen any movement in this direction.
He called on all international organizations to take immediate action and visit all prisons, stressing readiness to open all prisons to see the conditions of our prisoners.
